Something Is Building on Beekman Avenue

Strand Creative Center is bringing a long-vacant historic building on Beekman Avenue back to life as a creative arts and culture center — a place for the community to come together. Inside: workspaces for artists and makers, flexible coworking, and a multi-use venue for gatherings and cultural events.

On the Ground Floor: Sleepy Hollow Cinema

The ground floor will be home to Sleepy Hollow Cinema, a community-based nonprofit bringing movies back to the villages. Their single-screen theater will offer a diverse lineup — from family favorites and Spanish-language films to avant-garde indies and horror — with an ambition to become a national Home for Horror during the Halloween season.
